Meet the Founder

Angienette Anderson-Smith

IMPAACT.org was founded as a way to support the learning process of students with disabilities and their families outside the traditional classroom during the COVID-19 National Pandemic. The goal of IMPAACT is to extend the teaching and learning process of students identified with disabilities, including those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Specific Learning Disabilities, Emotional Behavior Disorder, or Other Health Impairments. In addition, anyone with an approved 504 plan received priority instruction during the pandemic.

Currently, we offer customized learning plans, personalized curriculum, private teaching, and flexible scheduling as an alternative solution to accommodating individuals and families that require or prefer homeschool, or personalized instruction outside the traditional brick and mortar building. All teaching experiences are rooted in the principles of learning theory using an Applied Behavior Analysis approach. With this approach IMPAACT is able to assess and analyze each person's academic and social behavior for the purpose of targeting and improving identified skill or performance deficits.  For best outcomes, using an Applied Behavior Analysis approach, we are able to intervene with research-based strategies and interventions to improve individual outcomes through specific descriptive and evaluative measures.

Personal Background

Angienette attended and graduated from Texas Woman's University where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. To this was added a M.Ed from Arizona State University where she focused on Applied Behavior Analysis. Angienette continues to  pursue post graduate studies in Behavioral Science & Health with an emphasis on Emotional Behavior Disorder. In addition, Angienette has met all requirements, and is a candidate for Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst. As a results-oriented leader she has been recognized for closing the achievement gap in Special Education and continues to be passionate about the academic, social, and behavioral success of students with disabilities, in and outside the classroom.
